On friday Pippa wouldnt eat and on saterday seemed to be having trouble breathing. She picked up later in the day so i left her for a bit. On sunday she was struggling again. so on monday we took her to the pdsa. They said she was very poorly and didnt hold out much hope of her getting better.

She was put on a drip and in an oxygen tent. We rang 2 or 3 times after she was admitted and was told she had perked up and was moving round more. They said they would ring us in the night if anything happened. We rang at 11am this morning to be told she had took a turn for the worse and her heart was failing. And advised us to let her go. I kissed and stroked her and told her mummy loved her very much and to run free to the bridge.

They used the drip she had in her leg to give her the medicine to put her to sleep. It failed twice because the drip was not in properly. So pippa was crying and getting upset and thrashing around. The vet said sorry and fetched the clippers and another syringe to try again. She cried for ages before she slipped away with me holding her head in my hands and kissing her head and telling her to go to sleep. WE brought her home and as we lay her in the ground to rest she was still warm. This absolutely broke my heart.

When she slipped away she took a part of me with her. I have never lost a cat like this before. My cats have alsways been rehomed for one reason or another none have ever died.  I will miss her cheeky adorable little face always.

I would have had her for 1 year on thursday of this week. And she would have been 2yrs old on 10th august.

Run free Pippa. Mummy loves you baby.

Shelly hun I'm very sorry to read this very sad story. . I know how much you love your cats and look after them. Your pippa is now free from pain and is running about in heaven chasing the doves. Shelly you keepup the good work with the rescued cats i'm sure pippa would want that.
