P.A.D. Barbel.I hear that another 12lb + Barbel has come out of the P.A.D stretch of the River Trent from the Famous peg one. . If you would like a day trying to get a double figure Barbel just P.M. me and i'll make sure you get a day ticket. We have 20 pegs so bring a few friends along too.

Apparently there was another angler there who witnessed it and states it was 9lb which is what I thought it looked when I went to my Nephews over the road and we looked on that site .

the 12 pound barbel was caught by the best angler i know, ,he,s got know need to say 12 pound if its only 8 ,he,s got nothing to prove hes beat every one in our club more than once without trying

This argument you lot are having is getting totally out of hands folks, one of my posts has been edited to so blank the familyplanning website, why we all no each other and we all know the members of different site post on sites. If this is going to continue to happen then I'm sorry but I wont be posting again as I feel people are acting like children over a stupid difference off oppinion that has nothing to do with me or what I was trying to say

To be honest you cant really tell the wieght of a fish in a photo where someone is holding it do to to many factors inc size of person, how far away hes holding it, angle of camera, to name just a few.
several years ago me and a friend were at a carp fishery & i caught one at 13lb & he caught one at 21 yet on the photos mine looked the bigger fish as i was a lot smaller built than my mate.

the one i caught on the pad stretch last year looked more than 8/12
it looked a double till it went on the scales

these two fish were caught on peg one
when i caught them you would have swore they were doubes
but when put on scales 9lb 15oz the other 8lb 6oz
so without scales dont mean a thing
the bottom pic it was a big fish we even tried it on two differant scales
but same result
