Report from fishathonAlthough the turnout was poor to say the least the fishathon was deemed a great success with youngsters and older anglers trying the sport for the very first time are now totally hooked the look on the faces of the kids and adults catching their first fish was amazing this was an email from the grandparents of a young lad and his mate
Hi,
Just really wanted to say 'Thank You' you and your friends made us intruders feel so welcome, the boys can't stop talking about the day, pardon the pun they are 'Totally Hooked' and described the day as 'Totally Cool'. I hope after the disaster of the mindless vandals in the yacht you all managed to bag some big one's to cheer you up again!
I look forward to seeing the photo's on your forum, but if its not too much trouble, if you could send a couple of the best one's to my email address the boys would be delighted. jane.simonds
Again a really heartfelt thank you for all your patience and kindness, your a heck a guy! I wish you much success in the remaining days of the Fishathon and hope that you raise lots of funds for the charity - Good Luck!
Take care
Jane AKA Pyrogirl
I was choked and proud to receive this email and it maked all the aches and pains a 50 plus year old gets after a week in a 3 man tent with
two other men but thanks to rabbi2 our last two days were spent in luxury in his trailer tent has he had to return home for a couple of days to tend to family matters. The first few days were very breezy but settled down towards the weekend with a few fish and a lobster that Chris my fellow organizer and carer caught and I ate I would like to thank those from the forums that attended and helped with instruction AH,rabbi2 dazw, acid house, little miss mermaid and friend and the owner of total sea fishing website the raffle will be held at a later date as we haven't had some of the prizes yet all raffle winners will be notified and their prizes delivered pictures will be posted on the photo section of this site
I would also like to thank the mindless so and so that wrecked three of my best rods with his yatch so before I can organize the next sea fishing event I will have to save up to get them repaired.
I would also like to thank Kieth Arthur for putting the details of the event on fisherman's blues.
My next event will be a coarse fishing match to again raise money for reels on wheels and also a local hospital that did their best to save the life of my mates 17 month old baby unfortunately in vain Aden died a year ago this coming Friday so look out for me pestering you all for support
